Carlissa Shaw is a native Memphian. She graduated from Central High School in 2005 and Middle Tennessee State University, in 2009 where she received a B.S. in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law. Carlissa returned to her hometown as a student at The University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphrey School of Law. She has spent the last several years rehabbing abandoned properties, and became a licensed real estate agent in 2021.
